Sigma 40mm f/1.4 DG HSM | Art - L-mount Camera Lens — Refurbished, 33% Off

The Sigma 40mm f/1.4 DG HSM | Art is an optical masterpiece originally developed to meet the rigorous demands of Sigma's high-end Cine lens lineup. By adapting this "8K-ready" optical formula for the L-mount system, Sigma created a lens that prioritizes absolute image quality above all else. This focal length provides a natural, human-eye perspective that sits perfectly between the traditional 35mm and 50mm standards, making it the definitive choice for professionals who require a cinematic field of view with surgical sharpness across the entire frame.

Elite Cine-Standard Optics
Bright f/1.4 Maximum Aperture: Offers extraordinary light-gathering capabilities and a razor-thin depth of field, allowing for dramatic subject isolation and exceptional performance in low-light studio or street environments.

Master-Class Glass Configuration: Features 16 elements in 12 groups, including 3 FLD (F-Low Dispersion) and 3 SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass elements. This combination effectively corrects axial chromatic aberration and magnification chromatic aberration to the limit.

Super Multi-Layer Coating: Sigma’s advanced coating technology suppresses ghosting and flare, ensuring high-contrast imagery and color neutrality even when shooting directly into harsh sunlight or cinematic backlighting.

Professional Build and ReliabilityDust and Splash-Proof Structure: Extensively sealed at the mount and all critical points to ensure reliable operation in challenging outdoor conditions. The front element features a water- and oil-repellent coating for easy cleaning during active shoots.High-Speed HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor): Equipped with a powerful ultrasonic motor that provides fast, accurate, and near-silent autofocus. It is fully compatible with the high-speed tracking systems of modern L-mount bodies from Panasonic, Leica, and Sigma.Full-Time Manual Focus Override: Allows for immediate tactile control over focus simply by rotating the ring, even when the lens is set to autofocus mode.

Precision Engineering
9-Blade Rounded Diaphragm: Specifically designed to produce exceptionally smooth, circular bokeh highlights, contributing to the lens's signature cinematic look and feel.

Rugged Brass Bayonet Mount: Combines high-precision machining with a treated surface to ensure long-term durability and a perfect fit with your professional L-mount camera.

82mm Filter Thread: Utilizes a common professional filter size, making it easy to share high-end variable ND filters or polarizers across your production kit.
