Panasonic Leica DG Summilux 15mm f/1.7 ASPH - MFT-mount in Very Good Condition — Refurbished, 39% Off

The Panasonic Leica DG Summilux 15mm f/1.7 ASPH is a high-performance, wide-angle prime lens designed for the Micro Four Thirds (MFT) system. Engineered in collaboration with Leica, this lens embodies the "Summilux" tradition of high-speed optics in a remarkably small form factor. Its 30mm (35mm equivalent) focal length strikes a perfect balance between standard and wide-angle, making it one of the most versatile "everyday" lenses available for Lumix and OM System (Olympus) photographers.

Bright f/1.7 Aperture and Leica Character
The fast f/1.7 maximum aperture allows for exceptional performance in dim environments, such as indoor events or twilight street scenes. It also provides significant control over depth of field, producing a smooth, natural bokeh that is rare for a wide-angle lens. The 7-blade rounded diaphragm ensures that out-of-focus highlights remain circular and pleasing.

Advanced Optical Engineering
ASPH Elements: The lens construction includes three aspherical elements to effectively suppress spherical aberration and distortion. This results in edge-to-edge sharpness and high-contrast imagery even at its widest setting.

Nano Surface Coating: Panasonic’s proprietary coating is applied to minimize reflections across the entire visible light spectrum. This drastically reduces ghosting and flare, ensuring your images remain punchy and color-neutral in difficult lighting.

Tactile and Intuitive Handling
Manual Aperture Ring: For a truly classic shooting experience, the lens features a dedicated manual aperture ring at the front of the barrel. It allows for quick, tactile exposure adjustments (compatible with Panasonic bodies; operates in-camera on most other MFT bodies).

AF/MF Switch: A physical switch on the side of the lens allows you to toggle instantly between autofocus and manual control without diving into camera menus.

Internal Focus System: Driven by a high-speed stepping motor, the autofocus is near-silent and incredibly rapid, making it as suitable for professional 4K video recording as it is for candid photography.

Premium Metal Build
Despite weighing only 115g, the lens features an all-metal barrel and mount, providing a dense, high-quality feel. It comes standard with a unique, vintage-style metal lens hood and a dedicated rubber hood cap, further enhancing its premium aesthetic. Its compact profile makes it the perfect companion for smaller mirrorless bodies like the Lumix GX or GM series.
