Nikon D3X DSLR Camera (Body Only) — Refurbished, 34% Off

The Nikon D3X is a high-resolution masterpiece that redefined the standards of professional digital SLR photography. While its sibling, the D3S, was built for extreme speed and low light, the D3X was meticulously engineered for photographers whose work demands maximum file size and image fidelity. It combines a massive pixel count with Nikon’s world-renowned build quality, creating a tool that excels in the controlled environment of a studio as well as the unpredictable conditions of a remote location shoot.

Extreme Resolution and Tonal Depth
24.5MP FX-Format CMOS Sensor: This 35.9 x 24.0 mm sensor provides an incredible level of detail, producing native 6048 x 4032 pixel files. It is optimized for a high signal-to-noise ratio and wide dynamic range to minimize lost highlights and shadows.

16-Bit Image Processing: Leveraging an advanced EXPEED processing system with 14-bit A/D conversion, the D3X creates 138MB TIFF files with smooth, natural gradations and faithful color reproduction.

ISO 100 Base Sensitivity: Specifically designed for high-end commercial work, the native range of ISO 100–1600 (expandable to ISO 50–6400) ensures exceptionally clean files for large-format printing.

Professional Performance and Precision
51-Point Multi-CAM 3500FX AF: The professional-grade autofocus system includes 15 cross-type sensors and 3D Color Matrix Metering II, providing lightning-fast subject tracking and focus accuracy across the frame.

Continuous Shooting Modes: Capture the perfect expression with 5 fps at full resolution in FX mode, or up to 7 fps in the 10.5MP DX-crop mode.

Dual CompactFlash (CF) Slots: Two UDMA-compatible slots allow for overflow, instantaneous backup, or recording RAW and JPEG files to separate cards for a more efficient workflow.

Flagship Build and Ergonomics
Bulletproof Magnesium Construction: The fully weather-sealed alloy body is designed to withstand the rigors of professional use, featuring a self-diagnostic shutter system tested to exceed 300,000 cycles.

High-Resolution 3.0" LCD: A 922,000-dot VGA monitor offers a 170-degree viewing angle and is color-calibrated to ensure accurate on-the-spot image assessment.

Integrated Vertical Grip: The built-in grip provides seamless handling and duplicate controls for portrait-orientation shooting, while the high-capacity EN-EL4a battery offers industry-leading battery life for long assignments.
