Meike 85mm F1.8 Auto Focus STM - Z-mount Camera Lens — Refurbished, 34% Off

The Meike 85mm f/1.8 FF AF STM Lens (Nikon Z-Mount) is a high-performance, short-telephoto prime lens custom-engineered for Nikon's full-frame Z-series mirrorless cameras. Well-recognized for offering an unbeatable balance of sharp optical performance and incredible value, this classic 85mm portrait-length lens is a must-have tool for enthusiast photographers looking to elevate their fashion, wedding, event, and casual portrait sessions. It is also fully compatible with APS-C Z-mount bodies (such as the Z50 or Zfc), providing a tighter, compressed 127.5mm equivalent focal length.

At the heart of its performance is a bright f/1.8 maximum aperture, which grants photographers superior control over depth of field for exceptional subject-to-background isolation. This fast opening effortlessly separates your subject from their surroundings, while working in tandem with a rounded 9-blade diaphragm to generate a soft, circular background blur and creamy bokeh highlights. The lens construction relies on 9 optical elements arranged in 6 groups, treated with a specialized multi-layer coating that actively suppresses surface reflections, ghosting, and lens flare to retain strong micro-contrast and accurate color fidelity.

To lock down fast-moving subjects with confidence, Meike has equipped this lens with a swift STM stepping motor. This drive mechanism delivers responsive, reliable, and fluid autofocus tracking that pairs cleanly with Nikon's camera-based Eye and Face Detection AF systems for pinning focus directly on a subject's eyes. The physical barrel is cleanly constructed with an integrated AF/MF focus mode switch for instant manual override adjustments, electronic contacts to preserve EXIF data, and a built-in firmware upgrade interface located on the mount to keep the lens fully compatible with latest camera bodies.
