Description

LARGE BUTTERFLY FOR PAPER CRAFTS: Creates a detailed butterfly measuring approx. 4.5 x 3.2 cm. Use the punched butterfly or the butterfly-shaped opening on greeting cards, scrapbook pages, journals, invitations, gift tags, photo albums and layered paper projects.

PAPER WEIGHT GUIDE: For best handling, use one sheet of 100-180 gsm paper or cardstock. With 80 gsm paper, the butterfly is fully punched, but the thin sheet has less stiffness and may not carry the separated shape out when removed. If it stays inside, remove it separately; this is normal for very thin paper, not incomplete punching. Around 220 gsm cardstock also works with firmer pressure. Its compressed paper fibres may leave very fine fibre edges after punching; this is normal for thicker cardstock and does not mean the shape failed to separate.

PAPER, CARDSTOCK & SUITABLE THIN LEAVES: Suitable for craft paper, scrapbook paper, card-making paper and cardstock. Suitable thin natural leaves that fit the slot can also be punched for botanical or seasonal craft projects. Because natural leaves vary in thickness, dryness and moisture, handling and edge appearance can vary with the leaf itself. Use one sheet or leaf at a time.

FIRM TABLETOP OPERATION: Because the punch forms a large 4.5 x 3.2 cm multi-detail butterfly in one press, use steady downward palm pressure on a firm, level tabletop. Insert one sheet fully into the slot and press the lever straight down. Do not stack sheets. If resistance feels higher than normal, clear any visible loose paper fibres or scraps before the next press.

ROUTINE CARE & MATERIAL LIMITS: Paper fibres and loose scraps are normal by-products of paper punching; clear them regularly to keep the mechanism clean. Following the manufacturer care instructions on the package, periodically punch thin aluminum foil to help maintain the mechanism and wax paper to help lubricate it. Not suitable for glitter card, glitter foam, fabric, felt or plastic. Before an important project, make a few test punches on scrap paper because a small amount of protective oil used during factory testing can transfer during early use. Colour supplied at random.

Create decorative butterfly details for greeting cards, scrapbook pages, journals, thank-you cards, invitations, wedding stationery, place cards, gift tags, bookmarks, photo albums, memory books, envelope decoration, gift wrap accents and layered paper projects. The multi-detail butterfly measures approximately 4.5 x 3.2 cm, making it a visible embellishment for a wide range of paper crafts. Each press gives you two useful design elements: the punched butterfly can be attached as an embellishment, while the butterfly-shaped opening can be backed with contrasting paper for layered cards, decorative windows, scrapbook backgrounds and table stationery. For the most consistent handling, use one sheet of 100-180 gsm paper or cardstock at a time. With 80 gsm paper, the butterfly is fully punched, but the thin sheet has lower stiffness. When the surrounding paper is withdrawn, it may not have enough rigidity to carry the separated butterfly out with it. The butterfly can therefore stay inside the punch and be removed separately; this is a normal handling characteristic of thin paper and is not a sign of incomplete punching. Around 220 gsm cardstock can also be punched, although firmer pressure is required because the thicker material offers more resistance. Since cardstock is made from compressed paper fibres, very fine fibre edges can be visible on thicker stock after punching. This is a normal material characteristic of thick cardstock and does not mean the butterfly has failed to separate. Suitable thin natural leaves that fit the paper slot can also be punched for botanical and seasonal craft projects. Natural leaves vary in thickness, dryness and moisture, so handling and edge appearance depend on the individual leaf. Use only one sheet or leaf at a time. For correct operation, place the punch flat on a firm, level tabletop. Because the punch forms a large 4.5 x 3.2 cm multi-detail butterfly in one press, steady downward palm pressure gives the most controlled operation. Insert the material fully into the slot and press the lever straight down. Do not stack multiple sheets. If resistance feels higher than normal, clear any visible loose paper fibres or scraps before the next press. ROUTINE CARE: Paper fibres and loose scraps are normal by-products of punching. Clear them regularly to keep the underside and mechanism clean. Following the manufacturer care instructions on the package, periodically punch through thin aluminum foil to help maintain the mechanism and punch through wax paper to help lubricate it. These are routine maintenance steps for normal use. This punch is not suitable for glitter card, glitter foam, fabric, felt, plastic or stacked sheets. Before starting an important project, test the punch on scrap paper. A small amount of protective oil used during factory testing can transfer during the first few punches; this is a normal first-use condition and the test paper keeps it away from your finished project. Shell and lever colours are supplied at random and cannot be selected; the butterfly design, approximate size and product function remain the same.

Common questions about buying open-box and refurbished.

Why buy refurbished or open-box?
Refurbished and open-box products offer the same performance as new at a fraction of the price. You're already saving $5 on this listing. They've been inspected, tested, and are ready to use — the only difference is the price tag. Buying refurbished also reduces electronic waste, extending product life cycles and keeping functional devices out of landfills.
What's the difference between open-box and refurbished?
Open-box products are customer returns that have been inspected and confirmed functional. They may show little to no use — often the item was returned simply because the buyer changed their mind. Refurbished products have been professionally repaired or restored by technicians, tested to meet or exceed manufacturer specifications, and sometimes come with a warranty. Both are a smart alternative to buying new.
Why use OpenBoxFox?
Finding refurbished deals is time-consuming — you'd have to check Amazon Warehouse, Reebelo, Dyson Outlet, and others separately for CarSleek products. OpenBoxFox aggregates these listings in one place, so you can compare and find the best deal without the legwork. We update pricing daily so you always see current availability and real savings.
Is it safe to buy refurbished?
Yes. Products listed on OpenBoxFox come from established retailers like Amazon, Reebelo, and Dyson — not unknown third-party sellers. Each retailer has buyer protection policies, return windows, and in some cases warranties. You get the price advantage of used goods with the purchase security of a known retailer.
