These unlacquered/unfinished brass shelf rails add detail and elegance to any shelf or surface. The rail length segments thread into the post heads, meaning the middle posts do not slide over the rail lengths but rather each rail segment threads into each side of the posts (giving the look of one long continuous rail). This means you cannot buy a longer kit with the intention of cutting the rails down to a shorter size. Please note differences in initial patina can exist between pieces, but will mellow out to a more consistent tone across pieces over time with air exposure. The rail are screwed down from the top using size 2, 3/8" brass wood screws. The screws, piliot hole drill bit and screwdriver are included. Helpful information re.
