Celebrate Boxing Day with a high-performance retro-modern crossover. This exclusive Retro Whale bundle pairs the premium 80GB PlayStation 3 CECHE01 with the legendary Sony PlayStation 3D Display. This powerful duo allows you to play three generations of physical discs (PS1, PS2, and PS3) on a screen specifically engineered for the PlayStation ecosystem.

The Console: PS3 CECHE01 (80GB)
The CECHE01 is one of the elite "Fat" PS3 models capable of playing your physical PS2 and PS1 library.

Software-Assisted Backwards Compatibility: Uses the Graphics Synthesizer chip and advanced software emulation to upscale classic PS2 games to 1080p.

Upgraded Storage: Features a larger 80GB hard drive for more game saves and media.

Premium Features: Includes 4 Front-facing USB ports, Chrome Trim, and built-in Flash Media card readers (SD, CompactFlash, Pro Duo).

Refurbished Quality: Deep-cleaned and stress-tested by Retro Whale to ensure optimal thermal performance.

The Screen: Sony 24" 3D Display (CECH-ZED1U)
Designed by Sony specifically for gamers, this display features a sleek design inspired by the PS3 aesthetic.

SimulView Technology: Allows two players to see different full-screen images simultaneously in supported games (requires glasses).

High-Speed Performance: Ultra-fast refresh rates and 1080p resolution optimized for gaming.

Integrated Sound: Built-in speakers and subwoofer for an all-in-one desktop setup.

Note: 3D Glasses are not included in this special combo.

Condition Note: As a "Good" graded bundle, you may notice minor surface scuffs on the console's glossy finish or the display bezel. These are purely cosmetic and do not affect the high-performance display or gameplay.

Every component is fully inspected, sanitized, and verified to meet original factory standards by our team in Vancouver.

🎁 Whenever possible, we include extra items such as tester games or small bonus accessories — depending on available stock.

Common questions about buying open-box and refurbished.

Why buy refurbished or open-box?

Refurbished and open-box products offer the same performance as new at a fraction of the price. You're already saving $430 on this listing. They've been inspected, tested, and are ready to use — the only difference is the price tag. Buying refurbished also reduces electronic waste, extending product life cycles and keeping functional devices out of landfills.

What's the difference between open-box and refurbished?

Open-box products are customer returns that have been inspected and confirmed functional. They may show little to no use — often the item was returned simply because the buyer changed their mind. Refurbished products have been professionally repaired or restored by technicians, tested to meet or exceed manufacturer specifications, and sometimes come with a warranty. Both are a smart alternative to buying new.

Why use OpenBoxFox?

Finding refurbished deals is time-consuming — you'd have to check Amazon Warehouse, Reebelo, Dyson Outlet, and others separately for SONY products. OpenBoxFox aggregates these listings in one place, so you can compare and find the best deal without the legwork. We update pricing daily so you always see current availability and real savings.

Is it safe to buy refurbished?

Yes. Products listed on OpenBoxFox come from established retailers like Amazon, Reebelo, and Dyson — not unknown third-party sellers. Each retailer has buyer protection policies, return windows, and in some cases warranties. You get the price advantage of used goods with the purchase security of a known retailer.
