This is an Open Box Product. It's been inspected and is fully functional. It includes all original accessories and a minimum 1-year warranty (unless noted otherwise below). For return details, see the Return Policy tab. The product's specs are as follows:
•Stereo mode uses both the left and right channels, perfect for capturing a realistic, general sound image
•Cardioid mode is best for podcasts, sung vocals, and other voice work - it records sound that is directly in front of the microphone, delivering rich, full-bodied audio
•Omnidirectional mode picks up sound equally from all directions, which is ideal for capturing a true-to-life ambience, like a live recording of a band's performance
•Bidirectional mode records from both the front and the rear of the microphone, perfect for capturing the nuance of a musical instrument, or recording an interview between two people
•Includes controls for headphone volume, pattern selection, instant mute, and microphone gain so you can manage every aspect of the recording process
•Adjust the microphone's sensitivity to reduce distortion and feedback or use the instant mute button to take a break
•Capable of capturing your audio in up to 16-bit/48 kHz resolution
•Equipped with a 3.5mm headphone jack so you can listen to what you're recording in real time with no latency delays
•Innovative tri-capsule array enables sophisticated recording techniques
•The stylish, retro aesthetic boasts a metal grille and shiny, chrome-toned frame that are inspired by classic recording equipment
•A hinge lets you adjust and pivot the microphone in relation to the sound source to improve sound quality and use the set screws to secure its position
•The microphone can be folded down for easy portability, or removed completely from its base for field recordings
•No complicated drivers for hassle-free setup
•Simply plug it into your computer's USB port with the included USB cable, calibrate it with your operating system, and you're ready to record
•Compatible with both Mac and Windows

Common questions about buying open-box and refurbished.

Why buy refurbished or open-box?

Refurbished and open-box products offer the same performance as new at a fraction of the price. You're already saving $20 on this listing. They've been inspected, tested, and are ready to use — the only difference is the price tag. Buying refurbished also reduces electronic waste, extending product life cycles and keeping functional devices out of landfills.

What's the difference between open-box and refurbished?

Open-box products are customer returns that have been inspected and confirmed functional. They may show little to no use — often the item was returned simply because the buyer changed their mind. Refurbished products have been professionally repaired or restored by technicians, tested to meet or exceed manufacturer specifications, and sometimes come with a warranty. Both are a smart alternative to buying new.

Why use OpenBoxFox?

Finding refurbished deals is time-consuming — you'd have to check Amazon Warehouse, Reebelo, Dyson Outlet, and others separately for BLUE MICROPHONES products. OpenBoxFox aggregates these listings in one place, so you can compare and find the best deal without the legwork. We update pricing daily so you always see current availability and real savings.

Is it safe to buy refurbished?

Yes. Products listed on OpenBoxFox come from established retailers like Amazon, Reebelo, and Dyson — not unknown third-party sellers. Each retailer has buyer protection policies, return windows, and in some cases warranties. You get the price advantage of used goods with the purchase security of a known retailer.
